Can I vibe code SurveyMonkey?
Create surveys and analyze responses at scale.
Building a survey and collecting answers is the easy, canonical part — you can do that in a weekend. SurveyMonkey's paid value is on the analysis and distribution side: cross-tabs and filtering, statistical significance, benchmarks, and especially its paid respondent panel that sells you actual survey-takers. The form is free-tier territory; the reporting depth and the audience marketplace are the real product. Buildable as a survey tool, with a genuine gap in analysis and reach.
Build me a survey tool inspired by SurveyMonkey. Let me create surveys with multiple question types (single choice, multiple choice, rating scale, matrix, and open text), share a public link, and collect responses without requiring accounts. Build a results dashboard with per-question charts, a response count, filtering by answer, and CSV export of the raw data. Use Next.js App Router with a hosted Postgres, keep the survey-taking pages fast and mobile-friendly, and deploy to Vercel. Note in the README that advanced cross-tab analysis and a paid respondent panel are the parts intentionally out of scope.
A survey builder with multiple question types, a shareable link, and basic results charts and CSV export.
- Advanced analysis: cross-tabulation, filtering, and significance testing
- The paid respondent panel that supplies survey-takers on demand
- Benchmarks and expert-designed question templates
- Enterprise distribution, quotas, and multi-language surveys
The survey form has no moat, but the analysis suite and — crucially — the audience panel that finds you respondents do; when you need answers from strangers, not just a form, that marketplace is the thing you can't vibe-code.
A prompt is the first move, not the whole game. Course 01 teaches you to take a prompt like this one to a shipped, working app — reviewing, correcting, and steering the agent the whole way.
