You lose that library, not the ability to make working forms. For personal use, this is a comfortable yes.
Build me a form builder for my own use inspired by Jotform. Define forms in config (fields with types including text, email, dropdown, checkbox, file upload, and a payment field) and render clean, accessible, validated forms. Support file uploads to object storage, an optional Stripe payment step before submission, conditional show/hide of fields, and email notifications to me on each response. Add a password-protected dashboard listing submissions per form with CSV export and file links. Use Next.js App Router with a hosted Postgres, deploy to Vercel, and keep adding a new field type a matter of editing one typed module.
