Kit (formerly ConvertKit) is Mailchimp for creators, and it fails the vibe-code test for the same core reason: the product is deliverability plus automation, not the compose screen. Landing newsletters in the inbox at creator scale takes sending infrastructure, domain reputation, and ISP relationships you cannot prompt into being. On top of that sit visual automation sequences, tagging, and a creator-recommendation network that grows lists — real, compounding features. You can build a signup form and a sender; you cannot build the deliverability engine or the network, so it is a no.
Build a small-scale creator email tool (a Kit/ConvertKit alternative) for my own permissioned list, and be explicit in the README that deliverability at scale is out of scope and belongs to a real ESP. Include an embeddable signup form with double opt-in, a subscriber table with tags and one-click compliant unsubscribe, a broadcast composer that sends via a transactional email API (such as Resend or SES), and a basic two-step automation (for example, a welcome email on signup). Track opens and clicks. Use Next.js App Router with a hosted Postgres, deployable to Vercel, and warn me clearly about volume limits and the SPF, DKIM, and DMARC setup required before sending.

Creators pay Kit to guarantee the email actually arrives and to run automations that would take real work to build. Deliverability is a specialized, ongoing operation and the recommendation network is a genuine growth channel — neither is something a personal build reproduces, which is exactly why the subscription holds.
